As part of its 35th anniversary celebrations, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is proud to support the third annual One Earth Summit (OES) 2026, held under the theme "Collective Flourishing for the Intelligent Age”. Serving as a landmark event during Hong Kong’s high-profile financial week, the Summit takes place ahead of COP31 and the APEC Leaders' Meeting in Shenzhen, providing a timely global platform to help shape the climate and technology agenda for the year ahead. It reinforces Hong Kong's position as an international hub for green innovation, technology, and finance.

At the dawn of the Intelligent Age, the global build-out of AI infrastructure represents the largest infrastructure cycle of our generation, offering a decisive opportunity to demonstrate that economic growth can be powered and financed within planetary limits. The Summit focuses on driving sustainable growth by forging innovative public-private-philanthropic partnerships across three themes: Energy & Climate, Ocean & Nature, and AI for Collective Flourishing. This year's Summit features an esteemed lineup of global leaders and speakers, including The Hon. Leung Chun-ying, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC; Mr. Huang Runqiu, Minister of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China; Prof. Harry Shum, Council Chairman of HKUST; Mr. Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman of Schneider Electric; HRH Princess Marie-Esméralda of Belgium; Ms. Irina Bokova, Former Director-General of UNESCO; and Prof. Yang Bin, Vice Chancellor of the University Council, Tsinghua University.

Bringing together senior leadership from government, business, academia, and finance, the Summit aims to mobilize private capital and translate global sustainability ambitions into actionable solutions from Asia to the world.
