Breakthroughs in neurodegeneration research depend on scientific rigor, open collaboration, and a community committed to innovation. The International Society for Molecular Neurodegeneration (ISMND) champions these values as a global platform uniting researchers across disciplines. Through conferences, webinars, mentorship, and early-career programs, ISMND accelerates the exchange of molecular insights into neurodegenerative diseases and strengthens the network driving better diagnostics and therapies.
This year’s ISMND 2026 biennial conference holds special significance as HKUST hosts the event at the Shaw Auditorium (October 20–23) during its 35th Anniversary celebrations. Under the theme “Cell Biology and Therapeutics of Neurodegenerative Diseases,” the meeting features keynote lectures by Nobel laureates Thomas Südhof and Randy Schekman, invited talks from more than 40 world-leading experts, short talks, poster sessions, panel discussions, and exhibition opportunities. To encourage student participation, we have prepared limited free registration spots for HKUST students. We warmly invite researchers, clinicians, and trainees to join us in advancing frontier research and international collaboration.
