PLACE has been an established international summer program at HKUST(GZ) for the past two years. It aims to help young people from around the world discover more about technological development and cultural heritage in the Greater Bay Area, while enhancing HKUST’s international visibility.
The camp provides immersive experiences across Guangdong and Hong Kong, introducing participants to local cultural heritage and HKUST’s innovative spirit. It supports freshmen in transitioning to university life, enriches the experiences of international exchange students, and strengthens the University’s global reputation.
In celebration of HKUST’s 35th anniversary, PLACE aims to serve as a sustainable platform for cultural and language exchange between domestic and international students. The 2026 program will expand partnerships and deliver enhanced experiential learning opportunities across technology, culture, language, arts, and sports, promoting an international mindset.
