HKUST hosted an “Afternoon of Insights” on March 26 as part of its 35th anniversary celebrations, featuring Ms. DONG Mingzhu, Chairman of Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. of Zhuhai. The event attracted over 600 students, alumni, and faculty members onsite and online.
Ms. Dong shared leadership insights and GREE’s transformation into a global manufacturing leader, emphasizing a steadfast commitment to self-developed innovation and technological self reliance driven by outstanding talent. She described true talent as combining professional expertise, integrity, responsibility, and dedication to the country, encouraging young people to embrace challenges and hone skills through practice.
