Documentaries: Celebrating HKUST’s Legacy and Vision
Two newly produced 50-minute documentaries offer an evocative portrait of the University’s achievements and future direction. These two inspiring films will deepen pride within the HKUST community and attract interest from global audiences.
The films adopt two complementary perspectives. The Humanistic Story highlights the personal journeys of students, faculty, and alumni whose aspirations, challenges, and contributions drive HKUST’s progress, creating a compelling humanistic narrative. The Impact Story shifts the focus to the University’s transformative research in healthcare, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and related fields, weaving archival footage and powerful interviews into a cinematic exploration of innovation and societal influence.
Both documentaries will premiere during the University’s 35th anniversary celebrations before launching globally on YouTube and other mainstream broadcast channels.
